At 305 West End Assisted Living, we believe that creating an exceptional experience for older adults starts with honoring who they are — fully and unapologetically. We’re proud to share that our community has earned the SAGECare Platinum Credential, a meaningful recognition of our commitment to welcoming and affirming care for LGBTQ+ older adults.
Located in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, 305 West End reflects the rich diversity of the city we call home. That means our approach to care is never one-size-fits-all. From the way we train our team to the way we engage with residents, families, and guests, inclusivity is built into everything we do.
SAGECare, a division of the national nonprofit organization SAGE, is a leading organization advocating for LGBTQ+ elders. Their credentialing process includes comprehensive staff training and a thoughtful review of policies and practices that ensure communities like ours are truly safe and supportive spaces.
As Jonathan Davidov, General Manager of 305 West End said:
“New York City is a place where people are free to be themselves. That spirit is celebrated in our community. Earning the SAGECare Platinum Credential is more than a milestone — it’s a reflection of how we care, how we train, and how we show up for our fellow New Yorkers each and every day.”
We’re honored to stand alongside the many organizations across the country who are working to raise the standard for inclusive senior living. And we’re especially proud to do so right here, in one of the most vibrant and welcoming cities in the world.
